Dr. Cheyne is not just a practitioner; he is a lifelong student of how the human body moves and heals. His educational background laid the foundation for a career focused on comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (2007): Graduated from the prestigious Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.

  • Bachelor of Science (2003): Completed a Life Sciences degree at Queen’s University.

  • Certified Functional Abilities Evaluator: qualified to assess physical limitations and capabilities.

Since 2007, Dr. Cheyne has served the Etobicoke and Greater Toronto Area community. He founded West End Rehab & Physical Therapy to create a clinic that moves beyond quick adjustments. His goal is to offer a multi-modal approach that fixes you for good.

Clinical Specialties and Expertise

Dr. Cheyne treats the whole body from head to toe. However, his advanced training allows him to specialize in specific, high-impact areas of rehabilitation.

Chiropractic and Manual Therapies

We use hands-on techniques to restore movement and reduce pain. This includes spinal adjustments, joint mobilizations, and soft tissue therapy. These methods help normalize spinal function and reduce muscle tension.

Contemporary Medical Acupuncture

Dr. Cheyne uses evidence-based acupuncture techniques learned at McMaster University. This approach focuses on nerve stimulation to modulate pain signals and improve how your muscles function. It is highly effective for sports injuries and chronic pain conditions.

Low Back Pain Rapid Access Clinic Program

Dr. Cheyne holds a specialized role as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). He serves as the assessor for the Central Etobicoke, South Etobicoke, and South-East Mississauga regions within the provincial Low Back Pain Rapid Access Clinic Program. This means he has extensive training specifically for assessing and managing complex lower back issues.

Recovering from a car accident requires specific knowledge of whiplash and soft tissue trauma. Dr. Cheyne has years of experience managing these injuries, ranging from minor neck pain to complex neurological symptoms.
